Join us at the St Columba's Festiv-eel

Posted on 6 October 2018
Next term our St Columba's Green Team will be working with the Eco Warriors to host a special Festiv-eel on Friday 19th October at 6:30pm.

This is a free event where we will be showcasing a DVD titled BayKeepers, created by the Eco Centre.

This film aims to raise awareness of the local urgent problem of plastic in our marine environment and hopefully inspire a call to action.

Once the movie ends, a member of the Eco Centre will be there to answer any questions you may have regarding the film or the Bay.

It would not be a festival without food and prizes... on arrival, youâll have an opportunity to buy a raffle ticket and be in the running for a brand-new bicycle donated by the City of Port Phillip. Furthermore, there will be popcorn and icy poles which you can purchase at the door as well.

Afterwards, everyone is invited to come along on our sunset walk along the canal, it's at this time we will be watching out for any travelling eels!

This Festiv-eel is sure to be lots of fun, it's a great opportunity to learn more about our bay as well as come together as a community.

We hope to see you all here in the hall, on Friday 19th October at 6:30pm.

What our parents & students say

"I have been a part of the St Columba's community now for over 30 years. First as a pupil, then as a staff member at Before and After School Care, and now as a parent. My children are thriving here now just as I did."
