"These EcoWarriors from St Columba's Primary School in Elwood have been taking action to improve the health of Port Phillip Bay.
They have planted over 1,000 trees, counted nurdles and shells, welcomed short finned eels as they migrated into the local freshwater canal and have worked with their parent Green Team to design and create an indigenous bird garden!
These efforts were recognised recently when they were shortlisted as a finalist for the 2019 ResourceSmart School of the Year award. Well done to all involved.
Keep up the awesome work, Eco Warriors!
